Founded in 1860, the Maharashtra Education Society (MES), inspired by national ideals, has been a pioneer in education for over 150 years. Through its renowned institutions such as Garware Mahavidyalaya, IMCC, India’s first Military Training School for Girls, Bhave High School, and Bal Shikshan Mandir, MES has nurtured thousands of students from Kindergarten to Postgraduate levels.
To strengthen healthcare education in the Konkan region, MES established the Parshuram Hospital and Institute of Health Sciences in 2007. Based on the principles of Seva (Service), Shikshan (Education), and Sanshodhan (Research), the Institute has emerged as a centre of Ayurvedic learning and clinical excellence.
Since 2010, Ayurved Mahavidyalaya has successfully conducted the BAMS program, producing competent Ayurvedic physicians. In 2017, the college advanced further by commencing postgraduate courses in Panchakarma and Shalyatantra, thereby creating avenues for higher learning and clinical specialization.
The institution has earned distinction with NAAC accreditation (B++ grade) and entry-level NABH accreditation, reflecting its academic strength and commitment to quality healthcare.
